Using what the enemy meant to destroy to help save the lives of others suffering in silence.

Welcome to Captivated By Grace Ministries!

Captivated By Grace Ministries was launched from a place of great passion in the life of Wendi Rees.  Her testimony and transparency are bringing hope and healing to others through the grace of God that flows through her life resulting from years of childhood sexual abuse, rejection and abandonment.  Her passion to help others realize that there is hope beyond the circumstances of their past, the despair of their present, and the uncertainty of their future is what drives her to continue to speak about a subject that some want silenced.  Long term effects of child sexual abuse include fear, anxiety, depression, anger, hostility, inappropriate sexual behavior, poor self esteem, tendency toward substance abuse and difficulty with close relationships.  So many look to the world for their significance and worth, but we are created to find our highest level of satisfaction and joy only in the presence of God.  Our mission here at Captivated By Grace Ministries is to spread the Gospel of good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners (Is 61:1).  Unless the pain is brought out from the darkness and put into the light, we have created our own prison and it is very difficult to find healing and restoration.  John 10:10 tells us that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus comes that we may have abundant life.  Wendi lived under the shame of childhood sexual abuse from the age of 11, and her story tells that the freedom from the stronghold of shame did not come until the pain was exposed and was no longer in the darkness.  Psalm 18:28 also tells us that God turns our darkness into light.  It is only the grace of God that can turn what the enemy meant to destroy your life completely into something good and begin to heal you completely. (Gen. 50:20)
